On 29th September 1860, at Villa Favorita in Baraccola – the headquarters of the Savoy command, the peace declaration was officially signed between the generals Fanti and Lamoricière, declaring the passage of Umbria and Marche from the Papal State to the Kingdom of Sardinia.
